Serving as Pennsylvania's capital, the city of Harrisburg is situated on the Susquehanna river within the Susquehanna Valley. Harrisburg PA is at the western end of the BosWash megalopolis. Other transportation services include Amtrak service between New York City, Philadelphia and Harrisburg. Interstate-81 is Harrisburg's major highway. Harrisburg is located in Dauphin county with the adjoining counties of Lebanon, Lancaster, York, Cumberland, Perry and Snyder.
